The original plan was to go have dinner at Applebee’s but this is the day before a test so, that didn’t happen. We went to Ken’s Ramen today. The food was great but it took a while due to our large group and limited seating. It was nice though. I got to finally hang out with Keaboka. Her hair looked really nice today. We had a long talk about life and -ahem- (Keaboka will know what that means when she reads this). I had a good time seeing everyone. Sadly Becca and Khalil and Raphael did not show up. But it’s still okay.

Quotes of the Evening

Asha: This water is giving me heartburn.

Thandi: You got you coconut cream on my face.

Me: That’s what she said

I missed her a lot

I missed her a lot

Old Friends. New Beginning.

One of the best things about being back in Boston is seeing old friends again. Today I got to see 2 of them! One is a friend that goes WAY back and the other that is fairly recent but our friendship is CRAZY strong. While I was on the BU Shuttle on the way to go give Raphael a surprise visit, I saw out of the corner of my eye, a sweater Keaboka always used to wear. I was very excited so my first reaction was to get off the bus and run back to meet her. I hadn’t seen her at all in my whole time back and I have been missing her. We walked down over to Shawmut Street, which is close to where I was going, and we separated. It was great to see her again. It was strange because earlier today I was wonder what she was up to. I’ve known her since last year. She and I are very good friends. We both finished our last year of high school at Odyssey High School in Boston after moving away from our beloved Connecticut. We were in the same boat just about. We have a sort of brother-sister relationship. It’s great! Odette and I go way back to elementary school. Back to the good old cootie days. After all those years since I moved away from New Britain, we ended up going to the same university. So although we are both in a place very different form home, at least with each other we have a piece of home with us.So today, we had dinner together. It was my very first time eating at the Standish Myles cafeteria. It was very nice and has a different feel from the other dining halls. It’s rather cozy there; wouldn’t mind eating there again for sure! Those two made my day.

Other than that today I went to a BU Chamber Orchestra Concert. Being there really made me want to join the Chamber Orchestra. I am not in the College of Fine Arts and nor do I plan to enroll in that school. I just want to be able to play the viola. If I can I will buy my own. It’s something that I feel I need right now. It is beyond a “want” at this point. I really want to get back into playing.

Ich und Keaboka. Good times with this one.
