LoVE on the DashBOARD

To New York To Meet Utada – Part 3: How the Hell do we get back home..?

Okay so after the event, I was half-satisfied as I got to finally see my favorite singer EVER in person only a few feet away from me. The closest I have ever been and may ever be again to her. I would have been disappointed to let that chance slip away. However we left and decided to grab a bite to eat and then head back to Chinatown to re-board the Lucky Star. We got there at 10:10PM and the last bus left at 10PM. We though we should take the Fung Wah bus, but the last bus for that is also at 10PM. So we had no idea what to do so I recalled Deren telling me that his father lives in NY so we tried to see if it was okay for  us to stay there until the next Lucky Star Bus at 7. We ended up trying to pool our money together to buy the really expensive Greyhound tickets. That’s 70 bucks! We were saved because we had $70.10 together. What sucked was on the way, the train ticket machine ate two of my dollars and gave me an apology notice back for eating my money. We took the Greyhound at 12:15AM and arrived back at 4:30AM. Pretty insane night. That whole day was insane. Up for a whole 24 hours to meet Utada Hikaru. Worth it. Autographed picture of Hikki! ♥ That’s getting framed 😛 The ups of the night was now I know how to read a New York train map and how the streets work. Getting stuck pays off!

Oh course.. Time Square

Raphael and I woke up at 4AM to get ready to take the Silver Line and then walk over to South Station to take the Lucky Star bus from Boston to New York. It was pitch black outside when we left. We got there around 5:50AM and the bus didn’t arrive until about 6:45AM. We took the bus which had some strange comfortable-looking uncomfortable seats. The entire ride I felt my butt falling asleep. Also we had some guy that sad next to us who smelled so awful. Whenever he lifted him arms, I’d smell the death. Then during the ride, he kept taking pieces of the cardboard and eating them… We got to New York at about 11:00 and found 5th Avenue to find the line which had been started at 4AM!! In line we met two cool fans. One of them, named Rob, looked like he was there to make a profit off the event of something; however, to my surprise, he was a BIG fan. One girl from Japan, came by chance to 5th Avenue and happened to be a huge fan. Lucky for her she got inside no problem. I was so excited that we waited the whole time basically until the event started. The line stretched abtou 4 or 5 blocks. I bet Utada didn’t know she had so many fans.

Smelly Man!!

私の誕生日の楽しさ(第一テイク)Birthday Fun (Take 1): The Beginning

Okay so for my birthday I decided to go to New York City. It was just me and the amor. It was so nice. We woke up at 4AM and took the 6:30AM Lucky Star Bus from Boston to New York City. It was definitely exciting. The ride was about 3-4 hours. I was really shocked how fast it was and that I actually found the ride enjoyable. I was so relaxed during the bus ride. When we go to New York I was so suprised at the size of all the buildings. I thought that being in Boston, big buildings wouldn’t be much. But compared to New York, Boston has practically no big buildings. During the ride Raphael and I just passed the iPod back and forth listening to some of our favorite songs.

We got off the bus in Chinatown. The Chinatown in New York City is huge compared to the one in Boston. There were lots of shops and everything. We were so lost at first. Trying to navigate the streets of New York without any actual destination or anything. We eventually got a map, but we were still lost. We managed to find out way to a Subway station on Canal Street that took us to Time Square which is where all the fun happened. On the way over to Canal Street we were overwhelmed by the large groups of people everywhere. And the people trying to sell us everything. It was insane.

Chinese Lady: Tickets to Boston…Boston…You go… to Boston?!

Sketchball Salesman: iPod Touch, iPod Touch, iPod iPod iPod Touch…check it out…

The fun started here.
