The other day, A guy named Alex left a comment on the About page saying that I was found in a youtube video recorded during the New York Sephora Utada Event. And I was shocked that people know who I am although I don’t really know them. But nonetheless, Raphael and I were definitely in the picture here’s a screenshot.

To New York To Meet Utada – Part 3: How the Hell do we get back home..?

Okay so after the event, I was half-satisfied as I got to finally see my favorite singer EVER in person only a few feet away from me. The closest I have ever been and may ever be again to her. I would have been disappointed to let that chance slip away. However we left and decided to grab a bite to eat and then head back to Chinatown to re-board the Lucky Star. We got there at 10:10PM and the last bus left at 10PM. We though we should take the Fung Wah bus, but the last bus for that is also at 10PM. So we had no idea what to do so I recalled Deren telling me that his father lives in NY so we tried to see if it was okay for  us to stay there until the next Lucky Star Bus at 7. We ended up trying to pool our money together to buy the really expensive Greyhound tickets. That’s 70 bucks! We were saved because we had $70.10 together. What sucked was on the way, the train ticket machine ate two of my dollars and gave me an apology notice back for eating my money. We took the Greyhound at 12:15AM and arrived back at 4:30AM. Pretty insane night. That whole day was insane. Up for a whole 24 hours to meet Utada Hikaru. Worth it. Autographed picture of Hikki! ♥ That’s getting framed 😛 The ups of the night was now I know how to read a New York train map and how the streets work. Getting stuck pays off!

Waiting.. and waiting… and FINALLY!! She’s here! Everyone was going crazy and she pretty much almost got mobbed. Some people were crying and others were in shock. I mean really she doesn’t do this kind of meeting with a room full of fan often. She was so beautiful, more than she even seems in her pictures. They don’t even have to photoshop anything! Really! I was getting lightheaded the whole time and I could not stop shacking at all. It was crazy!

Raphael and I woke up at 4AM to get ready to take the Silver Line and then walk over to South Station to take the Lucky Star bus from Boston to New York. It was pitch black outside when we left. We got there around 5:50AM and the bus didn’t arrive until about 6:45AM. We took the bus which had some strange comfortable-looking uncomfortable seats. The entire ride I felt my butt falling asleep. Also we had some guy that sad next to us who smelled so awful. Whenever he lifted him arms, I’d smell the death. Then during the ride, he kept taking pieces of the cardboard and eating them… We got to New York at about 11:00 and found 5th Avenue to find the line which had been started at 4AM!! In line we met two cool fans. One of them, named Rob, looked like he was there to make a profit off the event of something; however, to my surprise, he was a BIG fan. One girl from Japan, came by chance to 5th Avenue and happened to be a huge fan. Lucky for her she got inside no problem. I was so excited that we waited the whole time basically until the event started. The line stretched abtou 4 or 5 blocks. I bet Utada didn’t know she had so many fans.

Smelly Man!!

In all the trip to New York was definitely worth it. The tickets were cheap and we got to stay the whole day. It was my first thing there ever. Now that I know it’s not so hard to get over there, I’d love to go more often. So much fun things happened. It was a memorable birthday so thanks to Raphael for that idea. Turning 18 can’t and won’t ever happen again. I guess I will enjoy it to as much as I can (with caution becuase now I can be arrest if I did something bad!!)

Take 10-1: Literal

The title is meant literally. We had to use the bathroom and there was a Charmin building that was dedicated to people using the bathroom. It was amazing. There was a guy dancing to the background music and then there was another guy that pointed me out because I was recording a video of him. It was really funny. He was saying at one point:

Guy: You ever have it where your butt is just kind of sneezing?

Yeah like *makes the noises*

Yup…yup *points to this woman*

Yup, she knows.

You should have seen this coming. That we had to go to the Nintendo World. It was just too insane. I was a wonderful exprience. Pokemon was so advertised. It was, overall, one of Nintendo’s strongest franchises. It is truely timeless in that, for those that do not watch the anime, they play or have played the video games. I admit I love the video games and it’s cool to see that it’s still around. So much Nintendo history. It was a bit like a museum!

Wooh!
